Amanda Duckworth

Amanda Duckworth is a reputation management expert working to build and protect reputations for performance optimization. She works to protect reputations when challenged by a crisis or issue including litigation, leadership changes, security breaches, performance and workplace issues, investigations, and market events. She also works to burnish reputations with effective marketing and communications programming that includes a focus on brand and narrative. She was formerly a Partner and Chief Marketing Officer at venture capital firm, Kleiner Perkins, and led the firm’s communications team during the Ellen Pao trial. She previously founded and led the San Francisco office of corporate and financial communications firm, Brunswick Group, and served on the firm's global executive committee. Prior to Brunswick, Amanda led the marketing and communications function at investment banks, Montgomery Securities and Thomas Weisel Partners (where she was a founding partner) and law firm, Morrison & Foerster. Her career began at Edelman Public Relations in New York and she later moved to the Bay Area to assume leadership of the agency's San Francisco office. Amanda has a LL.B. from the University of Wales, U.K., a Postgraduate degree in legal practice and FINRA Licenses 7, 24 and 63. She is an advisor to Define Ventures, an Executive Partner at Next Horizon Capital and sits on the Emeritus Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
